Canva.com is an online advertising tool that is purposeful for students to have success with service learning, works based learning, and more. Canva.com is an easy to use graphic design platform.

Service learning utilizing Canva.com has helped my students engage with learning they are passionate about. Jill created a poster to promote Post Traumatic Stress Disorder with a phone number to call for help if you or a loved one is suffering. Tom made a flyer to raise awareness of how garbage is devastating sea life. Fred made a pamphlet showing the effects of screen time versus the effects of time spent with your loved ones.

Works based learning is enhanced in my classroom because Canva.com. We are working with our local community college to introduce 21st century employability skills. My students are tasked with creating a brochure for a guest presenter at the community college in order to promote his work that will be on display. The presenter is a National Geographic photojournalist covering the civil war in Ukraine.
